Updates for the week ending Sunday, February 25th
This summary is generally published on every Monday, and is a list of SL viewer / client releases (official and TPV) made during the previous week. When reading it, please note:
- It is based on my Current Viewer Releases Page, a list of all Second Life viewers and clients that are in popular use (and of which I am aware), and which are recognised as adhering to the TPV Policy. This page includes comprehensive links to download pages, blog notes, release notes, etc., as well as links to any / all reviews of specific viewers / clients made within this blog.

The Love Me Render RC viewer replaces the former Project Render viewer, indicating that the render code changes are nearing release status. I found that I had to uninstall the project viewer and reinstall the RC, otherwise the viewer tried to update every time I launched it.
There is also a new MediaUpdate viewer, build 5.1.2.512574, dated February 15, 2018. According to the release notes, “This release of the Viewer pulls in a raft of updates to the built in media support that were not quite ready to be integrated when the 64 bit Viewer (Alex Ivy) was released.”

The media update viewer was covered in the week #7 summary, as that’s when it occurred. No need for it to appear in the week #8 summary.
