With the new month starting, Linden Lab has launched the SL9B Destination Guide pages. The pages will be used to highlight SL9B celebrations across the grid, and submissions for inclusion are actively being sought.
SL9B Destination Guide extract
If you are running an SL9B event between the 18th and the 24th June 2012, or if you are aware of an SL9B event, you can apply to have the event listed in the Destination Guide – simply make sure you provide all the details and select “SL9B” from the drop-down list of categories.
Dedicated category for SL9B on Destination Guide suggestion form
If you haven’t already volunteered for the upcoming central SL9B celebrations, here’s another reminder that submissions close this Sunday, June 3rd (midnight SLT).
Applications for exhibit space have been pouring in, so if you are interested in securing a plot, make sure you complete the application form and get it in. Notifications on the success of applications will be sent out as soon as possible after the 3rd June, but please be aware this may take a little time due to the number of applications received. The SL9B spooksperson recently took time out to comment on the status of exhibitor applications and to give further information on the follow-up will be for exhibitors once applications have closed on Sunday.
Similarly, the organisers are still looking for helping hands, so if you wish to volunteer to help please do so. With four event stages within the celebration regions (including the water stage!), applications are still open for live entertainers and DJs as well.
Auditorium Bookings Form Available
The SL9B Auditorium booking form is now on-line. If you would like to use the auditorium for non-commercial group discussions or presentations about self-help, SL skills, community outreach, health, fashion, news, round tables, technology, etc – then please complete this form on-line.
About SL9B
SL9B is being organised by residents, for residents – there is no direct involvement from Linden Lab. Along with the festivities there will be fundraising for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids, a charity supported by Dream Seeker Estates.
A photo preview of the event builds for SL9B has been posted on the official blog, in preparation for the development of a photo archive of the event that will be added to the Flickr stream as preparations continue – and which will run through the entire event itself.
Remember, these are still early days; the sims open for exhibitor builds on June 4th, so expect a lot more to appear on Flickr from then on!
To further whet your appetites, the SL9B spooksperson was granted access to the sims and has recorded a special preview film 😀

If you are a live entertainer or DJ, and would like to run a one or two hour set (respectively) at SL9B, please fill-out the SL9B perfromer’s application form.
Remember that, just like the exhibitor applications, the closing date for submissions for volunteers and performers is June 3rd 2012.

As always, a special video from the unofficial SL9B Guest Spokesperson (or is that Spooksperson? 🙂 ) together with his special guest to explain the ins-and-outs of SL9B building.
Seven full sims and two part-sims are available for exhibitors, providing between 250 and 300 1024sq parcels, each with a Land Impact of 234 (mesh builds are welcome at SL9B)
In an SLB first, two sims will be 100% water!
One of these will be available for exhibitors – so if your planned build at SL9B is suited for water, please indicate this on your application form
The other water sim will feature a stage either above, below (or both) the water. This will be a mesh build and is being contributed by Kazuhiro Aridian
Three other sims will be devoted to this year’s entertainment: one solely for DJs, one for live events, and the theatre / cake stage. Mikati Slade is supplying this year’s cake, so be ready for something very unique!
As there will be other SL9B events going on around the grid, The will be a dedicated Birthday Hub, which will be used to display information on other events being held in-world, so if you are planning an event, drop a message into the SL9B website.
