Alongside all of the resident-led events and activities planned to mark SL’s 14th anniversary, one set of events are liable to draw considerable interest from Second Life Users: the round of Meet the Linden sessions hosted at the SL14B Auditorium.
As with recent SLB events, Meet the Lindens will comprise one session a day, from Monday, June 19th through Thursday, June 22nd, and offer Second Life users the opportunity to hear from – and likely ask questions of – Linden Lab staff.

This year all of the Meet the Linden sessions will take place between 14:00 and 15:00 SLT, with the schedule lining up as follows.
Day (14:00 – 15:00 SLT) | Lindens |
Monday 19th June | Patch Linden, Senior Manager, Product Operations, and Dee Linden, Land Product Specialist |
Tuesday 20th June | Landon Linden, VP of Operations and Platform Engineering; Oz Linden, Technical Director, Second Life |
Wednesday 21st, June | Xiola Linden, Lead Community Manager |
Thursday 22nd June | Oz Linden, Technical Director for Second Life and Grumpity Linden, Senior Producer at Linden Lab |
Again, all these sessions will take place at the SL14B Auditorium.
Revised after realising slight opsie with the dates…
Linden Lab’s publicity for SL14B seems to have been focused on a few components they are directly involved with, such as this. Mentions of both the overall timing, most notably the main start time on Sunday, and the SL14B website just don’t seem to happen. What did appear seemed to come out of nowhere, as if the only Linden knowing anything was the bot running the Destination Guide.

The core SLB events are resident-organised and run, as such the Lab has tended to focus more on the events they organise for the anniversary – the Music Fest, things like the special in-world Linden social gatherings of previous years, etc. This year we also have the in-world shopping event and the parties at SL14B (as well as the aforementioned Music Fest).
The “bot” you refer to is a member of the Community Team, and as with all DG entries is based on submissions made. There was also a notice within one of the Linden blog posts about the events they are organising asking those running their own SL14B events to submit them for inclusion in the DG. Perhaps things seemed to “come out of nowhere” simply because you didn’t read the blog posts?
