Kultivate Magazine is offering a prize package with a total value of L$4990, with L$3000 in three cash prizes, in a Home Away From Home photo contest, run in partnership with Maven Homes, who are supplying their Camden Photo Studio as a part of the first prize!
The contest is open now through until August 20th. To be in with a chance of winning, here’s what you need to do:
- Teleport to Maven Homes
- Take a photo of yourself either inside or outside one of their homes. The goal is to show that you are “home away from home.”
- The photo can be an indoor or outdoor shot, and must visibly show you and the home.
On offer are three prizes:
- 1st place: L$1,500 plus the Camden Photo Studio from Maven Homes, and a free ad in Kultivate Magazine
- 2nd place: L$1,000 plus your photo printed on the Kultivate website
- 3rd place: L$500 plus your photo printed on the Kultivate website.
Note that the closing date is Saturday, August 20th, 2016.
About the Camden
The Camden Studio by Maven Homes is a modern, 2-room design with a 31m x 30m footprint and a Land Impact of 96. It will fit in parcels of 1024 sq metres or larger, is 100% mesh (with materials), and is suitable for a studio or gallery space. Extras include:
- Shutters open and close to darken studio
- Light rig with working lights
- Lockable doors
- Is supplied Copy / Modify (No Transfer).

- One submission per entrant
- The goal is to take a photo show you are “home away from home” at Maven Homes. Your photo can be an indoor or outdoor shot, but must visibly show you and the home.
- Entries must be posted on the Kultivate Flickr Contest group Only one entry per user, to be posted no later than 23:59 on Saturday, August 20th, 2016. Flickr timestamps will be used to determine time of submission
- All submissions must be labelled “Home Away From Home Photo Challenge” followed by your SL name (do not use Display Names) and must include the sim / house SLurl in the description
- All submissions should be new and original, but can be submitted to other groups
- Nudity and adult themes are not permitted as the sim is G rated
- Editing within external software is permitted prior to submission

All entries will be judged using the following criteria: creativity, originality, technique, interpretation of the theme, adherence to the submission and guideline rules (again, please refer to the link above to confirm the guidelines).
