Blog Hiatus

A short note to let readers know I will be taking a hiatus from blogging about Second Life, etc., from October 8th, 2025 in order to address a health issue. During this time I’ll also be absent from Second Life.

I cannot say for sure when I’ll be resuming writing, but I do plan on doing so and getting back in-world as soon as is feasible. Until then, all the best to friends and readers.

IP.

  2. There will be a big hole where you used to be, and the grid will be somewhat darker for lacking the light you shined on so much of it, but that space will always be there for you when you return! Your posts have been such a big part of my SL and I’ve found so many places to visit & explore through them! Please take care of your human being and then bring your light back to us, madame.

  5. Take care of yourself first in First Life, a lesson I almost failed to learn.

Whatever it is, speak up to your care team about everything. Ask questions, keep a written journal. If something feels “off,” say something.

I wasted months of recovery time from a mild stroke because I didn’t mention the stinging tingles in BOTH my hands, preventing me from working. I had developed carpal tunnel on top of the stroke – which affected only the left side.

Navigatiing medical portals to see tests or check coverage is a huge pain.

Good luck, get lots of sleep, manage your stress. I found sleep headphones and very soft ambient music in the wee hours.

  7. Second Life will seem very empty without you for a while, Inara, but your health comes first. Your posts have always set such a high standard and helped so many discover the beauty of Second Life. Wishing you good health, rest, and a full recovery, and looking forward to your return when the time is right.

  8. Hoot , Take all the time you need, Inara. Your health and well-being come first. Everything else can wait. You’ve inspired and guided so many of us in Second Life (myself included), your presence will leave us uninformed and missing your well crafted words! And we will be here when you get back. Sending positive vibes and wishing you rest, strength, and gentleness in the days ahead. 💜 owl

  10. You deserve a rest for sure. I’d wish it were for other reasons than health issues. I hope that you recover soon, and thank you for always staying there for the Second Life community, we owe you so much.
