A number of updates last week, including the SL Official Release, Dolphin, Restrained Love, and Lumiya, as well as from the “usual suspects”: Niran’s, Zen and Cool VL.

Updates for week ending: 3 June, 2012

• SL Viewer updates:
  • Release version: rolled to 3.3.2.258114 on May 29th, which includes the Local Textures option
  • Development: rolled to 3.3.4.258391 on May 30th
• Dolphin Viewer rolled to version 3.3.8.23798 – May 30th (release notes)
• Exodus has introduced nightly builds ahead of the next release
• Niran’s Viewer rolled to 1.39 on the 29th May (release notes)
• Restrained Love rolled to 2.8.3.2.(3.3.4.23490) on June 3rd (release notes)
• Zen Viewer released version 3.3.3.7 May 30th (release notes)
• Cool VL Viewer rolled to 1.26.4.16 on June 1st, (change log here)
• Lumiya rolled out version 2.0.3 on May 29th (release notes)

Another relatively quiet week. Zen rolled a released close enough to the preparation of this update that it gets included here. SL pushed out Beta and Dev viewers, Lumiya rolled a new release – 2.0.2 – and Henri made his usual Cool VL release.

Updates for week ending: 27 May, 2012

• SL Viewer updates:
  • Release version: no change
  • Beta: rolled to version 3.3.2.257717 (May 22) – release notes
  • Development: rolled to 3.3.3.258002 on May 24, then to  3.3.3.258100 on May 26
• Exodus has introduced nightly builds ahead of the next release
• Niran’s Viewer rolled to 1.38 (21st May, reported last week)
• Zen Viewer released version 3.3.3.5 on May 22nd and 3.3.3.6 on May 28th (close enough for this update) – release notes
• Cool VL Viewer rolled to 1.26.4.14 and then to 1.26.4.15 on 25th May, with the change log here
• Lumiya rolled out version 2.0.2 (release notes) on May 27th; a few bugs were noted, so expect an update soon (and review to follow in this blog)
• Group Tools made a further release on May 23. Due to issues with the trial licence, still unable to test / review.

A very quiet week!

Updates for week ending: 20 May, 2012

• No changes to any of the major SL Viewer releases
• Zen Viewer released version 3.3.3.4 on May 15th
• Niran’s Viewer rolled through release 1.37 (14 May) to 1.38 (21st May, close enough to make this update)
• Cool VL Viewer rolled to 1.26.4.13 on 19th May, with change log here
• Group Tool made a release on May 20. Due to issues with the trial licence, still unable to test / review.

• No changes to the official release of the SL Viewer
• The Beta Viewer rolled to 3.3.2 (255742), complete with the contributed Local Textures capability
• The SL Development Viewer rolled to 3.3.3.255954 on May 8th
• The Pathfinding Project Viewer rolled to 3.3.2.256513 on May 11th
• Niran’s Viewer rolled to version 1.36 on May 9th
• Zen Viewer released version 3.3.3.3 on May 9th
• Cool VL Viewer rolled to 1.26.4.12 on 12th May, with change log here
• Lumiya released version 2.0.0 on May 11th, with the addition of a 3D in-world view capability

Updates for week ending: 6 May, 2012

Several updates occurred this week, with Dolphin, Niran’s and Zen in particular all making two releases apiece.

• No changes to the official release or Beta of the SL Viewer
• The SL Development Viewer rolled to 3.3.3.255742 on May 4th
• The SL Mesh Deformer Project Viewer received and update (blog post) on May 3rd
• Dolphin went through two rapid-fire releases, with 3.3.6.23776 appearing on May 1st, followed by 3.3.7.23790 on May 4th
• Niran’s Viewer rolled to version 1.34 on May 3rd, and then version 1.35 as this update was being prepared overnight on the 6th/7th
• Zen Viewer released versions 3.3.3.1 and 3.3.3.2 in short order on May 3rd and 5th respectively, change logs for both here
• Cool VL Viewer rolled to 1.26.4.11 on 1st May, with change log here
• Lumiya released version 1.3.4 on May 5th, with changes noted here.

Updates for week ending: 29 April, 2012

Several updates this week – most from “the usual suspects” :), but also one or two changes to the Round-up page itself.

• The SL release Viewer updated to release 3.3.1.254524 on April 24th
• The SL Development Viewer rolled to 3.3.3.254948 on April 26th
• The SL Direct Delivery Project Viewer is removed from the Round-up Page, as DD is launched and the Project Viewer itself has not been updated post-launch
• The SImplified Inventory Project Viewer will remain until the status of that project (active / defunct?) becomes clearer
• Dolphin released version 3.3.5.23763 “Fellini” in April 28th, bringing with it an adaptation of Marx Catteneo’s machinima tools (in turn based on work by NiranV Dean). I’ve run a small review here
• Niran’s Viewer itself reached a full release on the 27th April, with a host of features and revisions which I review here. This release sees Niran’s Viewer listed on the Third-party Viewer Directory
• Zen Viewer reached release 3.3.3.0, also on the 27th April  which includes a number of updates, including the latest release of Qarl’s parametric deformer
• Cool VL Viewer rolled out 1.26.4.10 on the 26th April. Among the changes made is a “Rebuild avatar” feature (in Advanced -> Character) allowing to rebuild your avatar skeleton from scratch after removing a rigged mesh which deformed the said skeleton, and the latest release of the parametric deformer
• Two rapid-fire updates were made to the Lumiya Android client on the 29th April, with versions 1.3.2 and 1.3.3 being released in short order and available through the Android Market and Google Play respectively. Each includes a number of updates & improvements.
