I’ll be posting dance performance schedules, similar to Inara’s posts about Seanchai Library readings. We’ll start with the weekend events for now.

Lighting The Way launches this week, with a huge number of great dance performances. There will be even more of them next week, but how about we get through this weekend first, okay?

10:00 PM – Guerilla Burlesque

It may be Friday the 13th but it’s still Friday and a reason to dance!

We are so excited to be back on the Pit stage Friday night performing at 10 pm! We hope you will be there to welcome us! We have a couple of things tucked into our corsets to keep you amused and entertained because we missed you! Special shout out to Chrissy Rhiano who will be directing this week!

An amazing line up of fun, creative, and original acts all performed by your favourite Guerilla dancers! Mark the date, make your plans and meet us at the theatre doors for the 10 pm Guerilla Burlesque dancing in the PITS!

Doors open at 9 pm for those who like to arrive early and interact with their favourite dancers!

Ballet Pixelle® will open its production of “Avatara” on Sunday, April 15 at 5:00 pm SLT, Join us for this original composition of virtual dance! What if a real world dancer could dance in a virtual world? What movements would be the same or different? What kinds of different beings could she be? What would be the same? And how would that dancer be changed after her experience? Performances are Wednesdays at 5:00 pm and Sundays at 5:00 pm SLT throughout April in the Ballet Pixelle Theatre. Audience dancing at the after-show party every performance! Join us for an evening of delights. Directed by Blaze DeVivre, with the assistance of Sho Kyong, and produced by chryblnd Scribe, this year’s production will feature new acts, new dancers, new art installations and perhaps a little something we haven’t done before.

Billed as “a steampunk circus in black and white”, Le Cirque de Nuit pays loose homage to The Night Circus, a novel by Erin Morgenstern, which tells the tale of an enchanted circus travelling the globe during the Victorian era. Our production features dance acts with themes of circus, illusion and steampunk, and the strictly black-and-white acts are interspersed by colourful art installations from Second Life artists and musicians.

Desire Arts Dancers do an “after hours” show. Starting at 7pm SLT on March 24th, we bring you the performance quality at our Saturday shows, with more skin… little less costume. Some acts do contain adult content.

As an “Arts” theatre (and gallery) Desire Arts will be a venue perfectly suited for SL Performers wishing to express themselves through live performances, through Dance, Art Exhibits, Performance Art as well as Dramatic Presentations.

The Cabaret Provocateur will present its encore performances of the program “Fab 4 You” n Sunday March 25, 2018 at noon SLT at Surrender Cove.

Fab 4 You is a programme in 6 acts feature music performed by Elton John, Robin Williams and Bobby McFerrin, Lisa Lauren, Eddie Izzard, Goldie Hawn, and Phil Collins all originally written and performed by the Fab Four, (The Beatles). The dances will take you on a journey from Manhattan rooftops through Arabian Nights, to Broadway, backstage and in front.

Virtual Worlds Best Practices in Education Conference Performance Friday March 16th at 6:00 pm slt

Spirit Light Dance Company Presents Showcase 2018

Once a year we encourage members of the company to stretch their wings and present a piece of their own work. Each entrant must choose their music, create the set, get it in a rezzer and on the stage. They either make or source their costumes for their dance. They run the dance hud and often the mover as well, or if an operator is needed they must train the operator. In all cases they are encouraged and mentored by senior members of the company. This is not a competition but rather an opportunity to strive for personal excellence–to be the best that they can be.

We invite you to join this full cast presentation of 11 outstanding examples of choreographic skill and creative spirit.

We recommended that you arrive early to secure a seat and to cache the sets and the animations.

Please keep your scripts to 50 or below.

Desire Arts Dancers do an “after hours” show. Starting at 7pm slt on March 17th & 24th… we bring you the performance quality at our Saturday shows, with more skin… little less costume. Some acts do contain adult content.

As an “Arts” theater (and gallery) Desire Arts will be a venue perfectly suited for SL Performers wishing to express themselves through live performances, through Dance, Art Exhibits, Performance Art as well as Dramatic Presentations.

Also, Presentations of a controversial nature (including those involving sex, politics and/or religion) will be presented separately from the Dance Program.
